Attorney and Founder, Kinney Buzek Law

Benjamin A. Kinney, Esq.

Helping clients protect what they have built, prepare for what comes next and move forward with clarity.

Benjamin Kinney is an attorney and founder of Kinney Buzek Law, where his practice focuses on estate and wealth planning, probate and estate matters, mineral rights, and strategic legal counsel for individuals, families, and business owners throughout Colorado and Wyoming.

Ben helps clients protect what they have built, prepare for what comes next, and avoid unnecessary conflict through proactive legal planning and practical legal guidance.

Before establishing his private practice, Ben spent more than a decade advising foreign governments and private stakeholders on the legal, regulatory, and policy frameworks governing energy development and natural resource management. His background in international energy law and resource governance gives him a sophisticated understanding of asset structures, risk management, and strategic planning—experience he now brings to families, mineral owners, and business owners navigating important legal and financial decisions.

Ben also serves his community through leadership and service. He is a board member of the National Association of Royalty Owners (NARO) and an active member of the Broomfield North Metro Kiwanis Club, where he helps organize community projects that support local families. His dedication to service has earned him recognition as Best Legal Services in Our Broomfield magazine for both 2023 and 2024.

Outside of the office, Ben enjoys reading, traveling, cooking, and cheering on the Wyoming Cowboys. He’s an avid camper, pickleball player, and golfer, and loves spending time outdoors with his family, taking full advantage of Colorado’s mountains and open spaces.

Ben approaches legal counsel as both a profession and a service: helping clients understand their options, plan wisely, protect what matters, and move forward with greater clarity and confidence.
